Why I Do This
I really don’t love much about this industry, but I really love this career. If you’re here, you’ve probably seen loads of online sales tactics, the Instagram posts about 10% off supplements, or the teasers from health and fitness people to get you hooked into their newest “accountability group” or whatever.
Some of these things work for some people, and that’s dope, but if I wanted a career in sales, I’d sell something much more interesting (and much more expensive) than my programming and coaching skills.
I do this because I know people can change their lives with the right tools and I’ve spent a lot of time learning what tools to supply to which people. Also, selfishly, I love the feeling I get when someone texts, calls or DM’s me and says something like “I’ve never felt better” or “I used what you taught me and it worked”. Even after someone develops a routine on their own and stops working with me, I’ll check in just to hear they’re doing well and get a little dopamine hit.
That’s why I’m a trainer and coach - because as great of a feeling as it is to see money come in, it pales in comparison to the feeling that comes in when I can pair my passion with someone else’s work ethic.
The one underlying reason I continue to program, coach and help my clients is because I’ve seen what success looks like, and I want to share that process with as many people as I can. Maybe you’re the next success story - if you are, selfishly, I want to be a part of it.
